We are organizing experiential outdoor experiences focused on the forests of Greece, with the goal of fostering a meaningful connection with these vital ecosystems. The activities include:

  • Guided hikes in nature, focusing on exploring the biodiversity and ecosystems of the forests.
  • Group picnics in natural forest settings, encouraging deeper discussions about forest conservation.
  • Creative workshops inspired by forest ecology, emphasizing sustainable practices.
  • Interactive ecological games designed to highlight the importance and vulnerability of forests.

Through active engagement with the forests, participants develop an authentic appreciation for their intrinsic value, motivating them to become active protectors of these precious environments.

Currently, the project is in the creative design phase. We welcome fresh ideas, innovative activities, and broader community involvement.

At the same time:

  • We organize weekly meetings with interested stakeholders to research and discuss the current state of Greece's forests and to identify the main causes of forest fires.
  • We facilitate collaboration between organizations and individuals dedicated to forest protection, promoting unified, practical, and effective solutions.
  • We organize quarterly strategic meetings combined with targeted forest cleanup and restoration actions.

Timeline:

Start: September 15, 2024

Research: Until February 1, 2025

Connection with stakeholders: Ongoing

Participants:

  • Volunteers: Open invitation to anyone who wishes to contribute to forest protection and reconnect with nature, both through activities and online meetings.
  • Experts: Lawyers, firefighters, journalists, and volunteer firefighters are invited to share their expertise to strengthen our efforts.

Be part of the change, contributing to forest protection and rediscovering the beauty of nature.
